Theatre / Cosmetic Nurse – Cosmetic Practice

We are continually expanding and we have some of the most experienced Cosmetic Doctors and Nurses in Australia. An exciting opportunity has now become available for a full-time Theatre/ Cosmetic Nurse position available in our busy Nedlands cosmetic surgery clinic.

We require a motivated and flexible experienced Registered Nurse to join our friendly and dynamic team. This is a diverse role offering permanent shifts in theatre and administrative duties in order to ensure licensing and accreditation requirements are adhered to and carried-out to an exceptional standard. This position will provide applicants with the opportunity to develop new skills in both a theatre and cosmetic injector role in a private setting. 

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this role;

  • Registration with the Australian Nursing Board (AHPRA)
  • Post graduate hospital experience (essential)
  • Perioperative certificate (essential)
  • Experience with WA Heath Department licensing (essential)
  • Experience with accreditation (desired)

About The Position

With us, the role of Director of Nursing is varied and autonomous.

Here are some of the responsibilities:

  • You’ll lead and inspire a team of 18 talented, experienced Registered nurses.
  • You’ll continue to build a culture of excellence and collaboration within your team.
  • You’ll evaluate the performance, quality and effectiveness of nurses practices.
  • You’ll make sure the hospital has adequate staffing.
  • You’ll make sure our hospital continues to provide high standards of care and safety for our patients. 
  • You’ll identify staff development and training needs and make sure that training is obtained.
  • You’ll liaise with specialist surgeons and anaesthetists to coordinate patient care plans and treatments.
  • You’ll develop, implement and evaluate quality activities to maintain accreditation status.
  • You’ll ensure compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements.

What You Bring To Us

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
  • Minimum 5 years post graduate theatre nursing experience.
  • Senior health management experience.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a team efficiently.
  • An unwavering commitment to building a positive work environment.
  • Working with vulnerable people certification and current police check.
  • Working knowledge of and adherence to the NSQHS National Standards.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Relations Acts, regulations and other relevant statutory obligations (inc. Work Health & Safety).
  • Knowledge of contemporary risk management strategies which are effective in promoting and ensuring safe patient care.

Registered Nurse – Day Ward Scrub / Scout

The role reports to the Clinical Manager/Director of Nursing.

Mandatory Criteria: 

  • Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia registration with AHPRA
  • Previous experience in Perioperative nursing with exceptional clinical skills

Essential skills:

  • Previous nursing experience in Ophthalmology preferably in scrub/scout
  • Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients in the day surgery environment whilst administering general RN duties
  • Attentive to detail and adaptable to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Ability to establish interpersonal relationships and collaborate with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication with basic computer literacy
  • Flexibility to accommodate unanticipated changes in rostering based on facility requirements
  • Active involvement in Quality Improvement activities

SPD Technician – Chatswood Private Hospital

Chatswood Private Hospital (CPH) is a state-of-the-art facility which sets the new benchmark as a centre of excellence for specialist surgical procedures of Ophthalmic, ENT, Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial. Our custom-built facility hosts precision instrumentation, cutting edge technology and is complimented by a highly experienced expert team of well-trained clinical and administrative staff who share the vision of a surgical centre of excellence. 

The role reports to Sterile Processing Department Coordinator.

Mandatory Criteria: 

  • TAFE Certificate in Health Service Assistance (Sterilisation Services) 
  • Prior experience in sterile processing of at least 1 year 
  • Availability for variable 8-hour shifts from 7am to 8pm, Monday to Friday.

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication with general computer literacy for documentation and data entry
  • Active participation with surgical set ups and daily operations of SPD
  • Effectively utilize the knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards as per AS/NZ 5369:2023 to comply with the sterilisation process
  • Assistance with stock control and order supplies as required
  • Assist with maintenance and documentation of loan equipment
  • Leverage interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective communication with the greater health care team 
  • Actively contribute to reporting of risks and quality improvement activities
